Strengthening the future of healthcare for Detroiters! Nursing Detroit is dedicated to eliminating barriers to sustainable healthcare careers in underserved communities. Our pathway programs, starting as early as 12 years old, extend to adult learners. We provide CNA training, Nurse Skills training, CPR/BLS classes, summer youth work experiences, and youth mentorship programs, actively supporting Detroit's nursing community through comprehensive training, mentorship, and talent development initiatives.

The bottom line is this: research confirms that when patients see themselves reflected in their caregivers, patient outcomes improve. With over 30 years of bed-side experience in Detroit hospitals, our team has witnessed first-hand the deeply-rooted disparities in healthcare.
That’s why we’re not just focused on filling gaps in the workforce- we’re committed to transforming and saving lives.
We envision a healthier Detroit, revived through the spirit of nursing education and support. Through our training, mentorship and talent development programs, we have built caring partnerships with Detroit’s nursing community to promote health equity, reduce racial health disparities, and to build the next generation of caregivers in our community.

Classes Offered Year Round
Nursing Skills Training
We offer hands-on skills training to help build your confidence in clinical skills such as tracheostomy care, tracheostomy suctioning, peg-tubes, IVs, foleys, IV pumps, and more. Fill out an interest form to be notified of upcoming training sessions.
